A lot of people are jumping into the digital SLR pool these days, but very few are learning how to swim once theyre there. Youve spent hundreds to own the right equipment: Now commit a few dollars to the kind of hands-on instruction needed to grasp the essential photography skills. Modern DSLR cameras can do a fair job without you, but imagine how great it will be to be able to make settings adjustments yourself in any shooting situation! Learning those skills isnt easy though. It takes study, along with a lot of practice. Our app is produced by an experienced photography tutor with the goal of providing the essential instruction, and in the clearest way possible, to make your journey on road to mastery easier, rather than harder.

You’ll begin with our 80-minute “Basics Audio Class”. Repetition is the key to learning difficult concepts, and you’ll enjoy being able to play this discussion of basic photography principles over and over as many times as needed to lay a good foundation for your photographic career, wherever it takes you. Next watch for the key PSAM and other topics listed individually in our main menu. These are designed as study points and practice guidelines for those times when you’re out to build specific skills on that foundation in the field. Watch also for our muse files, with posing and composition ideas meant to trigger your creativity when your mind is on other things -- like shutter speed, aperture and ISO!

Here’s a great tip: Learning camera skills is a lot like learning to play a musical instrument. There’s a lot to learn, AND lots of new skills to practice! Even gifted musicians hit sour notes when first starting out, and you should expect the same when venturing away from the automatic settings in your camera! Don’t be discouraged when your early pictures don’t turn out well, and DON’T GIVE UP! Camera skill doesn’t depend on which app or book you’ve got in your pocket. It depends on your getting out there with your camera, ruining some shots, and then opening that app and learning how to NOT ruin the next one that you take. If you persist in that kind of practice, the day will eventually come when bad shots for you, are a thing of the past. We hope youll buy and use our app, but no matter whose app or what resources you use, DONT GIVE UP!
